About Sugarhoney
Sugarhoney is a poprock band formed by Lassi Pollari in 2006. He had made some cheesy oversweet lovesongs on his own for a while and it was time to get a band together to play them. The first line-up consisted of Lassi (guitar&vocals), Juho Hakalax (bass) and Juuso Raatikainen (drums) and they all had played together previously in other bands. This trio rehearsed together on a loose schedule during the fall '06 and the following winter saw an addition of Jemo Kettunen on second guitar (often cited as a "stunt-guitar", you'll never know what he'll be playing IF he is playing) and backing vox. The first gig was played in April '07 just before entering the studio to record their first demo consisting of songs Overdose, Dark Side of the Heart, I Know You Do and Running Away. These sessions were followed by a line-up change when Juuso felt he was no more intrested in playing Sugarhoney's kind of music. The band went onto hiatus for a few months while seeking for a new drummer and then decided to bring in a new bass-player, namely Antti Lähdesmäki, while Juho moved to handle the drum duties. This new line-up continues to spread the sweet word of sugardom and hopefully the year 2008 brings on lots of new songs, gigs and recordings.
