About Stu Cat
Every once in awhile an artist comes along with the raw uncultivated force of nature and the only thing you can do is ride the wave or get out the way. From the ugly underbelly of America comes the first hand accounts of a poet, Stu Cat. Born Stuart Alexander Lee on May 3rd, 1983 in Miami, Florida. In an area cogested with clones and wannabes, Dane County, Stu Cat is one-of-a-kind.Give the nickaname for his "catlike" relfexes on the football field, Stu Cat started rapping because he saw the influence of Hip-Hop in society and felt he could reach people through his music. Recording at local home studios, Cat was taught to keep it real on the mic by the neighborhood gangsters. He was influenced by life and the things he saw around him; it was this philosophy that landed him his first big show at the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade/ By 2004, having performed at major clubs, Gustos and CLub Steam, Cat's loval buzz seemingly moved to Boston to meetup with high school friend David "Logik" Jaramillo to start a new chapter. At the forefront of the NME Records revolution Stu Cat's re-emergence strikes with the strength of a lion. Now relocated in Massachusetts, the heart of the New England college scene. Cat's campaign marches onward. Performing at The Great Scott, Roggies, and other top venues such as The Paradise nigh club, Cat's extensive fabase can only be described as eclectic. Presently in the process of recording his 2nd street album: Journey of A Gheto Child, Stu Cat is destined for greatness. With his passion re-ignited , new label, and production team The Back Row behind him- the only limit for this laureate is the sky.
