Steve Lawson and Trip Wamsley are both bass guitarists, who usually play solo. In July 2010, they spent two days recording and came away with 2 albums worth of material - one recorded 'Steve's Way' (spontaneously improvised, looped and layered in real time) and one 'TRip's Way' (built around pre-ordained chord structures and loops, edited and shaped afterwards). The first of those to be released is 'Slow Food', released by Steve Lawson via Bandcamp. It features both Steve and Trip playing bass guitars (Steve just playing his fretless 6 string bass, Trip employing a number of instruments, as well as 'bass pedals' and some triggered samples.) The albums were both recorded in Louisiana at Trip's Studio, Slow Food was mixed and mastered at Steve's studio in London, UK.
