About Stereomovers

Stereomovers are a plane ride on a psychedelic rock influential. They have evolved from the electro club cycle to finally reach the matured Stereomovers sound. Their music progressively beats its way into sky high altitudes then drops into a void summer valley ringing of grounding guitar notes that can best be experienced when the band is playing live. Their songs offer a frenzy of bliss, sensuality, coolness and serenity all through the textured layers of their notes and lyrics. The music created by the Stereomovers, provides an amalgamation of human sentiment. A dynamic duo from the city of Montreal, Canada, sourcing from their musical odyssey to bring an evolved and more mass oriented flavor to their sound that has now become mature and ready to fly. Alexandre Dionne and Simon Roy, have been making noise together for the past 10 years. Since their early days in a high school punk-rock band, to evolve into a trip-hop duet, to a successful underground progressive house duo, to finally blossom into a fusion of rock and electronic music, that makes the Stereomovers sound. Stereomovers got their first taste of live success in underground night club venues where across North America, Europe and Asia they spread out their mezmorizing sounds in venues from 500 people to crowds of 20,000 plus. Unlike most other performers in this type of gig, Stereomovers would show up with NO RECORDS whatsoever, but rather with a mic, a pair of samplers, a guitar, and on a few special occasions a drum. Alex would grab the mic, and guitar, while Simon engineered the samplers and drums. Their live shows always got great reviews, and through their four years doing progressive house, they gained the underground crowds respect wherever they played. They have been thrown flowers on countless occasions by famed night club dj/producers, newspapers, and festivals from all across the globe. However their route through the underground, came with a bump in the road, and they got tied up in a record deal they signed with a label that put them on the shelves for over two years. That label has since closed its doors, gave the Stereomovers their release papers and the Stereomovers have become free-agents again. The past 2 years has been spent in the studio working on their full length debut album. In order to bring a "popier" feel to their sound, Stereomovers teamed up with re-known producer Pierre "Baz" Bazinet. Working their digital dreams with an analog fashion, the Stereomovers music has evolved into a massive, explosive, full blown out stadium sound, that blends their musical history with the knowlege of an experienced producer, mixing the notes of synthesiers with the feel of analog instruments. You hear guitar, bass, drums, and synths in every Stereomovers composition. The catchy melodys and hooks source from their voyage through the underground, and the analog organic instruments bring it all up another notch to make a song that you can not only hear but also feel.
