About Stephen Paul Taylor
SPT is a one-man synthpop Disco-punk-pop machine from Canada. He played with Trike (http://trikeaband.com) for five years before branching off with his solo project, SPT. Trike played 300 shows and toured 16 countries twice and appeared on German TV. Since September, 2012, SPT has been furiously working on his first solo album in eight years – an album which showcases his electro-synthpop influences (from Kraftwerk to Men Without Hats) while branching off into darker lyrical poetry (about ex-communicating friends, “things” and ex-girlfriends in graveyards) and toying with sounds from dubstep, IDM and eighties video games.
