Their fusion of emotional passion and brutal guitar work mixed with immense live shows has left them labelled as one of Birmingham’s strongest underground, unsigned metal acts. SOS was created in February 2002 under the name Innate, when Matty H and two friends (Rob Leaman - a friend from Birmingham University and Ryan Slaughter - a drinking mate) formed the band: originally with drummer, guitarist, bass player, but no singer. A few weeks into the band’s life, Rob (drums) introduced a course-mate along to the studio to try vocals, and Alex Baker became the vocalist for good.
