About Spirit Medicine
"Spirit Medicine" - experimental psychedelic trance band http://www.spiritmedicine.com.ua/index.php?page=20 Our music is a bridge between psychedelic and post-modern cultures - meditative, calm and strong experimental mix of classic goa trance and post-industrial sounds, androgynous vocal, some folk and acoustic elements. Our ideas and atmosphere is inspired by the concept of the integral spiritual consciousness which incorporates all the manifestations of duality: the different styles of art, states of mind, attitudes and discourses, philosophical and spiritual teachings. It is not the only electronic music, but rather a stream of consciousness, expressed in the language of sound, emotional states, and metaphysical ideas. All the things in the world, all dualities are always united in One - this is a great mystery. Music and art created and percieved by everyone of us – this is our way to contemplate the mystery of Unity in our inner place, our Terra Interna. Spirit Medicine Promo was created in the 1996, as the part of the rave subculture, which was active at that time. In the period of 96-99 was organised first psychedelic trance parties in the Western Ukraine. At that time Alexxdrum worked at creation of different kinds of electronic music using some old trackers (Fast tracker, Impulse Tracker...) and analog synthesizers, and MZ was the active participant of psychedelic post-rock projects, and also realised different art-projects. Since year 2000 till now members of Spirit Medicine Project are making different post-industrial electronic music (ambient, ebm, synth-goth) in collaborations with musicians from Ukraine and Poland, and in their own side-projects (Mindzero, Engine Of Reality, InHead Project). Also we perform live acts. Now there are plans to create conceptual experimental psychedelic trance music as the "Spirit Medicine Project", experiment on integration of diffirent stylistic and conceptual inspirations.
