Spillwater Drive

About Spillwater Drive

Spillwater Drive is a traditional bluegrass band based in the Ozarks region of the United States. The quartet is comprised of Adam Ash (banjo), Samuel Cobb (mandolin), Jake Stogdill (guitar), and general lead Gary Cook (upright bass); the latter two from Southwestern Missouri and the other two from Northwestern Arkansas. The band name originates from a geographical point near Roaring River in Missouri between the residences of the four bandmates. Since formation in 2019, Spillwater Drive has been playing many gigs within the Midwest and Southern regions, one most notably Silver Dollar City, which hosted the biggest bluegrass festival in the world. Most of the band's performances have been uploaded to Stogdill's YouTube channel. In early 2020, Spillwater Drive recorded and produced original material for their eponymous debut album, and released it in July during the COVID-19 pandemic which halted concerts and music festivals. Little did they know that their album would garner them new audiences from across the globe, via exposure on streaming music sites, an all-bluegrass internet radio station and regional non-commercial radio stations with formats ranging from country to gospel to adult alternative.
