About Spike T

Spike T is one of the most prominent producers on the east coast. While being only in 8th grade during the start of his musical career, much to his unknowing, he managed to create beats similar to A Taste of Honey's "Boogie Oogie Oogie" (genius i might add) . His maturing abilities eventually spawned great tracks such as "Club Crackers" and "aljubra". Being a founding member of pseudo-hip-hop band The Board of Education, he has great aspirations. Following in the footsteps of influences Kanye West, Dr. Dre, RZA, and J Dilla, Spike T will most certainly be-cum a household name in the short future. As suprising as it is, some of Spike T's favorite artists include John Frusciante, Fugazi, Black Flag, Fuck Off, Bad Religion, Circle Jerks, and Bad Brains. He loves the guitar as well. Some of his favorite riffs include Undone (Sweater Song) by Weezer and Ignition (Remix) by R. Kelly. His father, cousins, and girlfriend have all impacted his actions as a musician but regardless, Spike T is still a genius in his own manner. He was simply born with an "ear for music". Look for him in Pitchfork Media's Best New Music in the upcoming months.
