In 1969, Beirget Kattsson, Olf Nystrom and Gert Forseberg formed Swedish supergroup, Spärhusen. From 1969 to 1974, the band ruled the Scandinavian pop charts with hits like “Ice Fishing”, “Nordic Equation,” “Midnight at the Fjord,” “Candy (The Revenge Song)” and their biggest hit “Apples and Fish,” produced by legendary record producer and creator of ‘The Whale of Sound’ creator Vorste Fierron. After 35 years, following the discovery of an unreleased 1972 documentary about them, the band is rumored to be reuniting for a tour to support their greatest hits album: ‘Best of Spärhusen’ due in October 2009.
