About Sound And Science
Sound and Science is a five piece band from the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. In early 2010, Sound and Science released their first EP "Burn Your Boats", and are in the process of recording a second album at Nimbus School of Recording in Vancouver. Malcom Owen-Flood (manager, guitar), Robert Wilkinson (vocals, piano), Luke Cuthbert (drums), Dan Edmonds (bass) and Sean Edmonds (guitar) have been writing original music together since 2009. Their sound is progressive, catchy, meaningful, and highlighted by melodic riffs and vocal harmonies. “They've got great vocals, some sharp metal edges and good, energetic songs and last time you saw them they were joining the likes of Armchair Cynics and Daniel Wesley onstage." – Lexi Bainas, The Citizen Their first EP was largely recorded by Malcom in his home studio, while the new album benefits from the work of some brilliant students at Nimbus School of Recording in Vancouver, owned by Bob Ezrin and Garth Robinson, industry professionals. Sound and Science has played all over the Island, and has shared the stage with bands such as Acres of Lions, The Perfect Trend, Daniel Wesley, Armchair Cynics, Current Swell, and The Accidentz. Recently, they were pleased to be invited to play in the Rifflandia festival, which featured acts like Gord Downie, Hot Hot Heat, Jets Overhead and more. Their greatest supporter has been Longevity John from the Duncan Garage, a unique Island venue where they have headlined numerous times to enthusiastic fans.
