SOUL OF SYDNEY launched as a blog in early 2009 as a New Year’s resolution between a couple of friends who loved FUNK, [b>SOUL[/b], and DISCO. What started as a small online project to share mixes, memories, and dancefloor moments with like-minded music fans in Sydney quickly grew into a celebrated community and event series dedicated to timeless, feel-good music. Deeply rooted in Sydney’s underground culture, Soul of Sydney has become renowned for its open-air jams, community dances, and rooftop parties celebrating funk, soul, disco, house, and hip-hop in all their forms. Drawing inspiration from street culture, block parties, and the original spirit of dance music, the crew have built a warm, inclusive space where everyone is welcome to move, connect, and celebrate the rhythm of the city. Over the years, Soul of Sydney has hosted and collaborated with some of the world's most respected artists and local talent.
