About Sotory

Sotory is the second solo project of Robin Heijn, who has also worked on RainAndScars, UPhobia, and In-Existence. After years of mastering various instruments and completing his studies as a music producer, Sotory emerged in 2017 as he sought a new musical identity. The debut album SoundEscape followed in 2018. For him, music serves as therapy, a means to release emotions and create continuously. His boundless creativity ensures that he will likely keep producing music until his last breath. Sotory embodies musical and creative freedom, emphasizing experimentation, honesty, and authenticity. His approach challenges conventional paths, encouraging exploration of uncharted musical territories. As a solo artist, He maintains a strict DIY ethic, handling every aspect of production, from composing and recording to playing instruments, singing, and mixing in his own studio. Sotory's evolution is evident in the 2020 release "Shadow to Light," which introduced a heavier vocal style and higher production values. The 2022 single "Black Lily" hinted at a darker and deeper future release, leading to the highly anticipated album "Unspoken," set for release on June 7, 2024. This album delves into Rock, Alternative, and (Gothic) Metal, exploring themes of life, death, trauma, resilience and love. Available digitally on all major streaming platforms, "Unspoken" invites listeners to experience the honest, emotive power of Sotory's music.
