About Solanaceae Tau
...is an experimental industrial, sound collage and avant-punk band with anarchist attitude from Frankfurt (Germany). Founded in 1984 by Andreas Kirchner and B. Katmaina. They combined anarcho-leftwing orientated lyrics with cold electronic music, pulsating noises, female vocals and tape collages. After "Outdoor Expressions" from 1990, Jason Fretz occasional guitar player, who appeared before only on few tracks, became third full-time member and made guitar free improv-noise one of dominants of the project. In same period sound of the band started shifting into more ebm / acid techno / leftfield area. In 1995 B. Katmaina left and three years later after "Club Des Haschischins" Nicci Harrington replaced her, Fenryr (Andreas Kirchnerand) also became Axaxaxs.
