About Sol Tek
Sol Tek hails from Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Based in Holland Albert Borkent's musical activities span over the last 20 years. Being inspired by the likes of Tangerine Dream and Arvo Part among others, Sol Tek's first group Tookay as a singer and keyboardist on this four piece band, performing their own material. Tookay shared considerable success in the Dutch midlands. Numerous bands followed both as singing and keyboard playing. A period of 15 years of ambient experimentation gave direction to the release of 2 ambient albums under the Lingua Lustra moniker on the Dutch label Practising Nature and other labels such as Databloem, Speedsound Records, Baksish Music and Spiritech. Having found a direction, Albert started writing more material and got in touch with Electronic Soundscapes. A series of E.Ps. and full length album releases followed and more are scheduled for the not so far future. Stay tuned !
