About Sofie Kremen
Sofie Kremen (1960-) is a French pianist, singer-songwriter, and arranger. The child of Swedish and Russian parents, she grew up in Paris in an artistic atmosphere. Her father, Fred Kremen, was an exporter of French films and an avid jazz aficionado. She began her musical training at age 4 and at the age of 10 enrolled in the École Normale de Musique de Paris. She was signed to a recording contract with Barclay Records-Polygram in 1978 and released her first record, "Ça va mal dans ma tête", in 1979. Four more records followed on the Barclay label, including her 1982 album, "Patience pour passion". In 1985, Kremen signed a new contract with WEA-Polygram and released her final album, "Honeysun", in 1986. Since the end of her performing career, Kremen continues to compose instrumental pieces and texts and write novels and short stories.
