Nkanyiso Gcaba (born June 30, 1998) professionally known as SlyCce 4Baby, is a South African rapper, singer and songwriter from Delville (a suburb of Germiston). He was originally born in KwaMashu, a township situated 12 kilometers north of Durban. His stage name derives from his high school nickname Slice which was given to him by his cousin because of his skill of slicing the beats when he raps. He then added 4Baby because he's the 4th baby from his mother and he wanted the name to be unique. Musical Style and Career SlyCce 4Baby is noted by his chilled voice over melodic trap beats. His sound includes dark lyrics and a low pitched voice that exceptionally blends with any type of instrumental. Gcaba started as a songwriter when he was 13. He would write bars for rappers since he was always in the studio and was passionate about rapping. He first recorded his solo song in 2014 when he was 16. After some time he had to relocate from Durban to Johannesburg, where he developed his versatile style of rapping and singing. In 2020, Him and his close friend Ntuks 2Go they formed a hip hop collective and record label "Corner House Proz" with their in-house producer mainly be Troopsiders who handle almost every production. SlyCce 4Baby and his cousin "Ntandoyenkosi Cebekhulu aka Q.S" formed a hip-hop duo called "The Vipers" but the duo never made it as they were separated in school. He was forced to release solo. On September 2021, he released his first solo project titled "Trapped In City Of Gold EP" which got him thousands of streams on audiomack.
