About Slipstream One
Slipstream One was the first –now defunct– music project of hungarian composer Márk Zsombók. The project started in 2001 as a collective name for slow evenings after school and weekends spend tinkering with FastTracker II. (Good Times!) Later on music production transitioned to Propellerhead Reason. Slipstream One gave birth to ten albums of "mostly" dark electronic music and a few trips to other genres. The sole reason for making music was to kill time and experiment with melodies here and there. During the lifecycle of Slipstream One no attempt was made to sound particularly serious or reach a big audience, and this shows. Especially in the "simplicity" of the compositions. Slipstream One counts one surprising achievement so far: A series of selected tracks were chosen to be part of compilations released by the german electronic label ELECTRO ARC. The name "Slipstream One" was the result of around five minutes of thinking. In contrast to the original description, there were no huge thoughts and concepts behind the name. It sounded cool at the time, and had a somewhat futuristic vibe to it, and that was enough. In 2012 the still lingering momentum of "wanting to make music" transitioned into the next project called Aeonshard, thus officially ending Slipstream One.
