There are multiple bands with this name: 1) Slideshow is a jangle-pop/post-punk band founded in Austin, TX by Dylan Hewkin, Christian French, and Kyle Garcia. Slideshow are a blend of synth-laden new wave and ominous post-punk, with bedroom pop sensibility. 2) It all began in the summer of 2002. The rock´n´roll ensembles RockDolls and Wicked were coming to their final destinations. Foxy Black (Wicked) and Tommy LeGun (RockDolls), with the common denominator Poe DePrey (RockDolls, Wicked, Machinae Supremacy), decided to form a new constellation. The main objective was to deliver energy rushing punk-, garage- and infernal rock to screaming fans and highrolling rockers of the world. Time flies, and now SlideShow has refined their music to a high octane mix of intoxicating tunes. These fuel the ramblin´rocket that aims for the stars and delivers rock´n´roll to the whole galaxy. SlideShow has during the years released four demos and a compilation CD. The sixth demo has been in production and is going to be released in the fall of 2006. Keep looking out for upcoming gigs.
