About Slaphappy
Ska-punk band formed in Houston, TX in 1994. Formed first as a 4 piece John Rynearson(Guitar), Chris Seymour(Bass), Matt Hanley(Drums), and Mike Maxner(Vocals), they later had a variety of horn players with the most consistent brass being Vince Plunkett(Trumpet), Darin Girnt(Tenor/Alto Sax), and Mark Boozer(Trumpet). The band released one cassette EP called "Eight is Enough" in 1995 and had songs on various compilations such as Son of Skarmageddon and Generic Skaca. Slaphappy played through until 1995 when the band broke up due to various reasons. Some members went on to college and others formed another ska-punk band, Supermarket All Stars.
