About Six7
Six7 named from the Pixies' "Monkey gone to Heaven" ..if the devil is six then God is 7 and slight exaggeration on the artists height (6'6 and 3/4"). From the NYC antifolk scene in the early 00's writing and playing acerbic rock punk funk on acoustic guitar. Self titled Six7 (2004) as heard here was recorded as a rock album with Patrick FitzGerald on vocals, guitar and bass, and Chris Cardinal (Shai Hulud) and Mark Kanning on drums. Cameo perfomances by Don McCloskey on keys and vocals on "We Don't Care", and Anne FitzGerald on backing vocals on "Psycho (Bitch)" and "Hey Baby" Six7 went on to play many clubs including New York's cbgb's, and Siberia, Seattle's Offramp, and London's Bar None. Over the years Six7 has morphed into a three piece rock punk funk vanjam band. Currently touring, writing, recording and promoting on the internet. Recently released "Deathstar" began as a video with dildo darth vader animation. The video and "Deathstar" has found a consistent and growing viral viewership on www.youtube/six7rock and is now available on the Digitalistic album. Similar in individualistic style of Frank Zappa, Lou Reed, and System of a Down, people have said Six7 sounds like Cage the Elephant, Nirvana, Don McCloskey and the Rolling Stones. Find Six7 at concert and festival parking lots, parks, and sidewalks from out of the van (sometimes down by the river) as well as big stages, small clubs and all over the internet.
