About Simon*Stars
The Beginnings There is no actual date for the foundation of "Simon*Stars" since they developped over a longer period. Still you can say the core of the band's development bases on the long lasting friendship of drummer Sebastian Fett and guitarist Simon Allié. They had been bonded as friends for many years and had shared their joy for music. So they decided to put there ideads into effect by founding a band. 2006 First ideas for songs arose. Both of them unable to sing they needed a singer so they would be able to musically realise these ideas. With Caty Gleisner they finally found a singer and the basis for further development was set. Their first demo recordings followed. After that they decided to extend the band. So Tobias Angersbach (bass) und Niels Kuche (guitar) joined the band. In a fivesome "Simon*Stars" continued their work. They gathered ideas, composed them and developped a sound made up of hard rock with funky and poppy elements. 2007 Finally they decided to start recording and polish the ready-made material to release an album which was intentionally recorded on their own. Although the recordings turned out to be more time-consuming than expected they managed to record 11 songs by October 2007. Still the post-production took well into the year 2008. After the recordings a 100-minute live-concept was worked out to present the songs to the general public. "Simon*Stars" debuted at the end of 2007 in the Molly Malone's Club in Marburg (Lahn) 2008 In 2008 Caty Gleisner suddenly left the band for personal reasons and left a hole that would be hard to fill. Until the band managed to win Fee Mietz as a singer a short period of standstill followed. Simultaniously the live-concept was revised to fit the new vocals. With Fee Mietz in the spotlight for the first time "Simon*Stars" celebrated their premiere in the "Nachtleben"-Club in Frankfurt (Main) in march 2008. They had their final comeback and presentation of the new live-concept in august 2008. Yet again in the "Molly Malone's"-Club Next to the album's release in autumn 2008 the participation at the 26th German Rock and Pop Price 2008 was a great issue in 2008. The unpublished album "Testimony" won the third price in the category "Best Rockalbum 2008" At december 17th the long awaited album "Testimony" was finally released. 2009 following
