Shrunken Elvis blends ambient country, folk, jazz and experimental elements with a mix of 1980s ECM, spiritual jazz and Krautrock influences. It is a Nashville, TN, United States-based trio born from long European drives, cold winter jam sessions and a mutual love of genre-defying sound exploration. The group unites three seasoned musicians: Spencer Cullum, Sean Thompson (see Sean Thompson's Weird Ears) and Rich Ruth, each bringing a distinct musical background to a shared creative space that prizes intuition over ambition. Shrunken Elvis' self-titled debut album, Shrunken Elvis, came out in September 2025.
