About Sandy Bailey
Sandy Bailey grew up singing gospel music to congregations of hundreds in church and listening to bluegrass on the radio, but it wasn’t until early adulthood that she began to identify her own compositional style and melding of those influences. Bailey’s debut album, "Raven’s Flesh", was recorded at the Pushkin Gallery, an historic bank converted into an art gallery in Greenfield, Massachusetts, produced by jazz pianist Jeff D’Antona and engineered by Justin Pizzoferrato (Sonic Youth, Apollo Sunshine). Since the release of her album last Spring, Bailey has been carving her niche in the Western Massachusetts music scene, earning opening slots for bands such as the indie-folk group, Winterpills. Her album has been receiving airplay on WRSI out of Northampton, MA, and will be played on Pandora beginning this Spring. For more about Sandy Bailey visit her website at http://www.sandybailey.com.
