There is more than one artist with this name: 1.) Shot In The Dark, from Riverside, California, are a post-hardcore/metalcore band of teenagers ranging in age from 12 to 17: Jacob Chabot as lead vocalist, Austin Schmidt on lead guitar, Taylor Martino on rhythm guitar, Jarod DeShong on drums and Tana “Spike” Snyder on bass. They’ve played the June 20th and June 25th dates of Vans Warped Tour 2014, and play regularly at many venues and events throughout Southern California, including Wild Wild Fest, Get Busy Living Fest, as well as, shows at the House of Blues, M15, Chain Reaction and others. They’ve opened for several prominent rock and hard-core acts including SECRETS, We Came As Romans, Dead Rabbitts, Assuming We Survive, and even Alien Ant Farm and The Tubes. Shot In The Dark originated in the Spring of 2013, being formed as an All Star Band by Robert Gonzalez of West Coast Rock School of Corona, California. All of Shot In The Dark’s members are current students of the school, some of which have trained there for a number of years. Shot In The Dark was the first band to be officially booked for the 2014 Vans Warped Tour and they released their EP Memories on June 9, 2014. 2.) Shot in the Dark were founded by Peter White and Al Stewart, intended as as independent band as well as a backing group for Stewart's music in 1978. The group released only one album on the infamous RSO label, which folded three weeks after the release of their eponymous album. Shot in he Dark were the high school band of Jonah Matranga, of the bands Far, New End Original, and Gratitude. They were based out of Brookline, Massachusetts.
