About RYUTist
RYUTist is a Japanese idol group formed in May 2011. As of December 2024, they are on an indefinite hiatus and their official website and social media accounts were deleted in April 2025. The last active lineup before the hiatus consisted of Ikarashi Miu, Uno Tomoe and Yokoyama Miku. Former members include Kimura Yuri (graduated 2012), Oonishi Wakana (graduated 2016) and Satou Nonoko (graduated 2023). The unit is based in Niigata City, in the prefecture of the same name. The members were born and grew up in this area. The name of the group is a contraction of the words "Ryuto" (柳都), which is a nickname for Niigata city, and "Artist".
