About Roy And The Devil's Motorcycle

Roy and the Devil's Motorcycle are three Swiss mountain brothers who have been playing guitar together most sundays for over 20 years. The band started off doing covers of garage punk and old blues songs until their own warped creations surfaced in the early 90s. A few years later they signed to the Swiss based Voodoo Rhythm records (now a veritable institution of antiheroes) and later released 'Forgotten Million Sellers' in 1998, with a real mix of blasting energy, strung-out experimentation and all-out-noise-romps. This is now impossible to find, but has been reissued 30th March 2012. The 'Black Swan at Christmas' e.p. followed in 2004 and 'Because of Women' in 2006. Things take their time in Roysworld. Alain, from the Neuchatel based 'Come n' Go' (also a Voodoo Rhythm band) joined in 2009, adding percussion, vocals and harmonica, giving them a looser, groovier, but equally raw and powerful, feel. The third album 'Tell It to the People' bears this influence, and came out 30th March 2012. Like all of their recordings it is all self-recorded, produced, mixed and mashed.
