A soundtrack without a film, Roman Holý with Ondřej Brousek without funk, and the fulfillment of a musician's dream—that's CRUSHING BLISS, one of the biggest melancholic surprises of the Czech autumn of 2004. "The whole thing came about when we met Ondřej at Monkey Business, and even though we're basically a generation apart, we agreed that a good film is perhaps even more interesting to us than music alone. Multiple media work together here, and the way images and music combine is, of course, sometimes more powerful than just listening to music," Roman Holý recalls how the whole project came about. "We are fanatical admirers of film as such, as an artistic expression... we kept talking about it, each of us did something somewhere from time to time – Ondřej in theater or film, me too – and we thought it would be worth combining our obsessions, since we understand each other so well in this area. We like the same composers, we exchange films..." The album also features Ema Brabcová, known from the band Khoiba, on the single of the same name. Project also features their colleague Dan Bárta.
