About Rita Zipora
Rita Zipora writes Dutch music in a very non-Dutch way. She combines British sounding electro we’re used to hear from Portishead and Massive Attack, with warm soundscapes and quirky Dutch lyrics. She took the stage at the Vondelpark, Open Air, Parade, Bellevue theatre, festivals in Paris, and Bilbao. She also featured in a performance by Herman van Veen. Earlier this year she and her producer Attie Bauw (Racoon, Ellen ten Damme, Scorpions) recorded her debut album Als Ik Kijk, which will be released on January the 10th 2014. “She launches herself off the stage with her exuberant and original songs.” (NRC Handelsblad)
