About Returning We Hear the Larks
Returning We Hear the Larks is the progressive metal solo project of Jack Noble, from Bristol, UK. The name is taken from the poem by Isaac Rosenberg. Making a name for himself in the early 2010s with the rise of the djent scene on websites like got-djent.com, Noble has released many EPs and two full-length albums to date. After the release of his second album Far-Stepper/Of Wide Sea in 2013, Noble announced that he would retire Returning We Hear the Larks. A few years later the project was resurrected, releasing a number of singles such as 2017's Thousand-Arms Fortress, which gained significant plays on Spotify. In 2023, he began a project of rerecording and remixing all of his releases to date. All of Larks' releases are available from his BandCamp page.
