Ray Conniff (1916–2002) was a popular American bandleader, arranger, and trombonist, a key figure in the easy listening music genre of the 1950s–1970s. Throughout his career, he sold more than 70 million albums worldwide. Christmas and Latin Themes: He recorded successful Christmas albums such as Christmas with Conniff (1959)and popular albums in Latin America such as Exclusivamente Latino and Latinisimo, with versions of classics such as "Bésame Mucho" and "Tico-Tico". Legacy Ray Conniff and his distinctive sound had a significant influence on lounge and easy listening music. He continued to record and perform live until shortly before his death in 2002, leaving behind a significant musical legacy.
