About Ranen
Ranen is a skweee producer based in Texas. Ranen started out producing lo-fi electrofunk before being aware of skweee, but once he heard artists such as Mrs. Qaeda, Pavan, and Randy Barracuda, the skweee style greatly influenced his music. Ranen's tracks typically feature a funky TR-808 beat, a syncopated bassline, chiptune synths, and dub-inspired delays. Ranen is unsigned, but two of his tracks are featured on the Dee Vee Skweee compilation from Digital Vomit Records. Ranen means "singing" in Hebrew.
