About Rami Fortis

Rami Fortis (normally known just as "Fortis") was born on July 7, 1954 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Fortis is a legendary pioneer of Israeli punkrock / new-wave. His 1978 album “Plonter” is and was considered a breakthrough in the Israeli music and one of the most influential in the history of Hebrew rock. In 1984 he joined Minimal Compact, considered by many the most influential and internationally successful Israeli dark(new)wave act.
