Formed in 2003, Bryan Ruckstuhl (guitar/vocal), Mike Mitani (guitar/vocal), and Jason Watts (drums) began collaborating in a small venue in Ottawa Ont. Their goal was to combine Ruckstuhl's rock AND acoustic based material with Mitani's Punk Rock background. It was the beginning the songwriting of R-Mistake. Touring in support of their debut self titled LP R-Mistake took their show all over Ontario and Eastern Canada opening for great acts like, Three Days Grace, Thornley, Default, Matt Mayes and El Torpedo, Jim Cuddy, Hawksley Workman and Hurst. With addition of bass player Adam Di Penta, November 2007 saw the completion of the sophomore release titled 'Sleeping with the Kill Squad' recorded by Jordon Zadorozony at French Kiss Studios in Pembroke Ont.(Sam Roberts, Melissa Auf Demaur, Hole, Blinker the Star) 'The story's the same, only the faces have changed. Our mistakes continue to reflect the world around us..' R-Mistake 2007.
