Quickstop formed circa 2000 when brothers Ryan and Alex and friend Alex D. decided to get together in a basement and jam. The band as a whole is from upstate New York. Ryan, lead vocals/guitar/keys, currently resides in Philly. Alex, drums/vocals, is finishing up school in Arizona. Alex D., bass/vocals, stayed in upstate New York and is currently in a second band, Blackfoot Jack. The songs for your enjoyment were recorded with a Zoom MRS-8 multi-track recording system, mixed and produced by Ryan and Alex. The band has many influences ranging from the Foo Fighters to Ben Folds, but most people say Quickstop sounds like Weezer. Therefore, Quickstop can be classified as a pop/alt-rock Weezeresque band.
