About Quartershade
The band finalized their name, line up, and sound in 2004, and have since been on a fourman mission to bring progression, passion and credibility to rock music. Their unique background no doubt contributing to their scene-surpassing take on Guitar pop: Brothers Pete (Vocals, Guitar) and Matt (Bass) Sisson were raised in India while powerhouse drummer Ben Banister gave up a career in professional Basketball to concentrate on the band. Their last double A-side single Captain My Captain/Fragile earned them a guest appearance on BBC Radio 4, multiple plays on XFM, the accolade of 'Hot New British Band of the Week' on national Danish radio (P3) and their single being featured on the front page of Drowned in sound - next to radiohead :-). They've played on Zane Lowe's Home Taping tour, and have gigged with bands like Bromheads Jacket, The Motorettes, and The Fall.
