About ProyectoDoxa
The “Döxa” project began to take off on the last months of 2006, when Víctor Fernández (Keyboards, vocals), after leaving Spanish band Darksun for personal matters, though resisting himself to the idea of leaving the musical scene, starts to call some friends and some mates from other bands, talking to them about the possibility of recording an album. It was not about forming a new band, but working on a new musical project, with the aim on recording an album. The first one to join Víctor in his efforts is Juan B. Rodríguez “Txendo” (guitars), and old band mate of him. Then, from time to time, many musicians, from different styles and origins began to join the Project. On January 2007, Víctor meets Dina Nasser (vocals) in Madrid, and the moment he talked to her about the project, Dina wanted to get involved. From Summer 2007, many other guest musicians confirm their involvement, such as Desakato members Gabri and Falu, acordionist Rubén Medal, vocalist Juanjo Abad (Biotech), soprano Ani M. Fojaco, and many more. As the writing and arragements progressed, the participants decided not to focus on a fixed pre-determined style, but, from a metal-based approach, they will freely developed their ideas with absolute freedom, distancing from the “labels” so common on the metal scene. The motto of the project appeared to be: “if we like it, it stays like that”. In spring 2008, Daniel González (Nörthwind, Darksun, Edén...), also begins to collaborate, and soon after the recording sessions start on his Dynamita Studios, property of him, in Lugones (Asturias, Spain). Alter a long and hazardous recording process, the result is the first album of the Döxa Project, wich is entitled “Once... and for all”, self-edited, and which will reach stores during autumn 2009. At the moment, Victor, Txendo and Dina are working yet on the second album. Having started the first contacts they count on having also lot of great guest musicians for the second one. There is still a lot of music to share...
