About Promises Lie
Promises Lie is a Russian progressive metal band formed in 2007. Besides founders Fedor Kivokurtsev(guitar) and Vitaliy Blagov(vocals) , the original lineup included keyboardist Sergey Butuzoff, drummer Anton Chuyko and bass-guitarist Sergey Supranovich. After recording the first EP, "Breathe", in 2009, the band gave a lot of live performances. Their first release get rather positive reviews, though it was just a demo recording. In 2010 the band started to write a material for their first longplay album, that was released in august of 2011 and get a name "Distance". All 10 tracks from an album were conncected with a concept describing emotions and problems of self-identification and maturing of a man.
