About Precal Dropouts

Precal Dropouts is a shoegaze inspired five piece project from Davao City, Philippines. The band is composed of highschool friends Joshua Gavin Azupardo (guitar, vocals, keys), Jan Mark Gestuveo (guitar, vocals, bass), Ben Jabez Necosia (vocals, guitar, bass) and later joined by Neilcon Duanne Abellano (drums), Ivan Leiwell Ladaga (keyboard, percussion, vocals) and Dee (bass, guitar, vocals). Their 2023 EP, “Little One, Travel Far”, was featured by CNN Philippines in their top OPM releases of 2023. This was immediately followed by the release of the single “Moving Fourth” which saw the band going in a more technical direction. Since coming into the Davao indie scene, they have quickly captivated audiences with their energetic live performances and sincere music. After a series of headline shows in Davao and a tour at Metro Manila for Fete de la Musique 2024, they released their debut full length album Eagles Shall Prosper to critical acclaim. It was named one of the best albums of 2024 by Billboard Philippines.
