About Pinkerton's Colours
Pinkerton's Colours were formed in Rugby, Warwickshire in 1965 as Pinkerton's Assorted Colours but dropped “Assorted” from the middle of their name so that it would be more visible on posters. It wasn’t until 1969 after they had changed their name to Flying Machine that they got a hit.
