About Piča z Hoven
Czech Republic (2008 - present) Piča z hoven is an audiovisual project formed in late 2008. Original concept was creating one-show project focused on agressive sound with influences in genres such as punk, crust, grind, power electronics or harsh noise using cheap music software and equipment. However whole conception has changed with addition of vocals and discovering the fact, that melancholic mood and gloomy atmosphere clothe in pop melodies fits better and provide more possibilities of expression. Their style can be defined as post-pop, there are basic elements of pop, mixed with 80s synth-pop, disco, ambient and experimental electronics. Integral part of the project are abstract and poetical lyrics and videoprojection combined animation and visually strong camera shots. Members of the project are: Eva Jaroňová (vocals, lyrics), Pavla Kantorová (keyboards, lyrics), Mojmír Měchura (electronics), Matyáš Dlab (KORG kaossilator) and Petr Šprincl (visuals). Myspace
