San Francisco. Los Angeles. http://phinney.bandcamp.com/releases The EP, titled "Unemployed", marks a time in which Pat had an abundance of free time. Like many of his peers and friends, the winter of 2009 - 2010 proved a very difficult time to find work. And out of the thousands and thousands of Patrick Taylor's out there, he decided to go under the name Phinney - his middle name. Patrick Taylor of the West to announce, to share with all of you. 6 months ago, Pat began building and writing a small collection of song ideas. Inspirations: in December he returned from a tour and had a long stretch of free time and found a cheap pedalsteel guitar and wanted to incorporate it into material. Pat was messing around with the clarinet while he became more and more comfortable singing. Pat worked, trying to capture all of those new elements into an EP. 2 mics in Pat's bedroom would suffice as a way to represent my ideas. Max Foreman and Kevin Bentz are good friends of Pat.
