Philippe Léotard is born in 1940 in Nice, France and died in Paris in 2001. After literature studies, he lead a career in theater and almost cinema. He played namely in films directed by François Truffaud, Maurice Pialat, Agnès Varda, Claude Lelouch... Most known of his films are "MAx et les ferrailleurs", Les deux anglaises et le continent", "Avoir vingt ans dans les aurès", "Tchao Pantin". At the end of his career, he registered four albums, which style can be described as french song. He lead his life excessively, and was even condemned for drugs' dealing.
