About Peter van Rooijen
Peter van Rooijen is an Amsterdam based guitar player, singer and performer. He is significantly known for his sharp observations of the modern society, which he poetically puts to words in his songs. In 2015, he won the Sonneveldprijs, one of the most important Dutch theatre awards for young makers. As an actor and performer, he has worked for the theatre group Circus Treurdier, joined the short-lived band Mannen van Glas and has performed a few solo theatre programmes. In 2018, Peter van Rooijen published his second studio album using crowdfunding: "Liefde, dood en zwaartekracht" (Love, Death and Gravity). Its release was paired with a theatre tour of a musical show with the same title.
