About Personal Official

Personal is a 4 piece band which was founded on January 2011 and their sound can be defined as indie rock that blends all the aspects of the late 80's genre along with the fresh sound bits of the 2000 era. The Guitars can have quite a few feelings accompanied by some outburst riffs depending on the background of the synth provided while the vocals tend to be best of both worlds as one might say since the lead singer's voice has a deep yet dynamic tone that encompasses a bit of a mystery and it all adds up to the harmonic balance of the bass coordinated by the drummer's experience. Right about then producer Theodore Zefkilis from SCA Studios stepped in and the first seed was the song "Prayer" followed by a video clip from indie director Fotis Fotiou. Shortly after the release of their song the band had 2 proposals to participate at gigs mainly abroad but due to scheduling conflicts they had to abort. 6 months later the band is trying to perfect the rest of the songs and hopefully sometime during the summer will pop in the studio and complete them which will ultimately circulate their first album. A website is scheduled to air sometime around autumn and various official as well as anecdote material will be posted in order to be accessible to everyone. The band consists of: Leading Guitar & Vocals - Ian James Rythm Guitar & Synth - Nick Bass - Costas Percussions - Tasos "An auspicious introduction to the Greek indie rockers, this compulsive debut single has been picking up worldwide airplay since its release. Built around a minimal format of lean, crystalline guitar, swooping bass, and propulsive drums, Perfect Empty Clone is a killer track with a clever balance of mystique and familiarity. The synth playing lends the track a distinctly 80s New Romantic feel – glacial, like a Scandinavian band. Curiously, there's no guitar solo; just the one effective, rolling motif instead. An intense and moody accompanying video - plus front man Ian James' dulcet tones - makes for a serious, almost Goth-flavoured track not dissimilar to Editors and The Killers in its confluence of instruments to one wide, epic sweep. This is not a band with meek intentions, you understand. There is precious little uplifting sentiment on offer, rather a heavy dressing of isolation and hopelessness throughout: “How can I give you a smile, I wonder? I feel alone” ponders each colossal chorus before every surging, hefty bridge: “Who left without a trace. What happened to her face?”. Perfect Empty Clone is an ambitious opening salvo from Personal, acting as a tempting primer for a new Rock band determined to do things a little differently. Promising stuff." Andrew Stubbs
