About Paul Pinna
Paul Pinna (born Paul Otto Hermann Pinna, born October 3 in 1884, Tallinn – died March 29 in 1949 in Tallinn). He was Estonian theater figure and an actor. He started his work as soon as 1898 in threater "Estonia". 1910-1911 together with Theodor Altermann, issued a theater magazine "Näitelava". In 1914 he left due to differences to Russia where he managed to succeed aswell. During the 1st WW he returned to Estonia while part of the Theater "Estonia" was turned into a hospital and many of the men were mobilized into the Estonian Army. He then decided to continue his works in Moscow but after a year he returned back to Estonia to keep working with the Estonian theater. During the Estonian Independnce war he commited himself with Drama Theater being a director and an actor. In 1923 he opened Rahvateater (Folk Theater) where there were amatuer actors but unfortunately it didn't succeed and went bankrupt in 1927. He continued his activities in Estonia. During the 2nd WW he was mobilized into a work battallion by the Soviet Union. Later he was appointed into Soviet Estonian National Art Ansamble. After the 2nd WW he worked until his death in Theater Estonia.
