About Paul Leion
London based music man: singer, songwriter, composer, pianist, over-thinker, producer is currently finishing off his debut album, entitled ‘Bipolar’. Set for release in early 2014, it’s a combination of pop, alternative and indie music, fusing sounds from Motown inspired to orchestral arrangements, electro/synth driven beats, to stripped back piano and vocals. Paul recorded part of the album with producer Benny D of Powerstudio in Chelsea while the rest, Paul co-produced with long time collaborator and friend, Martin Knight. Leion describes himself as a happy soul in an overactive and sometimes negative mind which has proven to be paradoxically challenging over the years, having survived many things from encephalitis, years of undiagnosed/untreated bipolar disorder, chronic anxiety and so on. Paul finds comfort in hearing that others have experienced and overcome difficult times and hopes that others may find some solace in what he writes.
