About Parke

There are at least two artists called Parke. 1. Parke was a British folk band established in the late 1960s in Manchester, United Kingdom. Led by husband-and-wife team, John and Julie Jenkin, they soon became a fixture on the folk circuit in North-West England. They released two albums, the self-titled Parke in 1971 and Joy, Health, Love and Peace in 1972, with guitarist David Rhead on lead vocals. 2. Andrew Parke (born 15 November 1989) is originally from San Francisco and is currently living in Manhattan, New York. United States. He is best known for his work in Stryk9, but releases solo work as Parke. Like Stryk9, Parke is decidedly new wave and synthpop, but with a focus on more uplifting, dance-oriented pop (and fewer dark undertones).
