About Panic on the Titanic

Panic On The Titanic was an industrial/darkwave band from Basle, Switzerland founded in 1990. The band's name was chosen to depict the spirit of their music, with the titanic being a metaphor for the computer-controlled aspect of their music while the word panic is a metaphor for the emotional component. The band was signed to the now-defunct Glasnost Records for their first two albums, and then switched to Khazad-Dûm (a sublabel of Celtic Circle Productions). The original line up was Johannes Barth, Thomas Daverio, and Daniel Zepf. Zepf left the band in 1993 and was replaced by Simon Siliprandi. The project was disbanded by the end of 1999. Johannes Barth and Thomas Daverio then went on to form Kartagon in 2001.
