About Package
There are at least four bands/artists called Package: 1. Package was born in 1994 as a four-piece hardrock band, influenced by Misfits and early punk rock to Anthrax and other heavy hitters from the 1980s and 1990s. Original members: John Vickers (vocals), John Bush (guitar/vocals), Brock Allen (drums) and Greg Stansbury (bass/vocals). They were a frequent favorite of local radio station WQLZ and released two independent CDs. The original lineup ultimately split ways in 1998 to pursue family and other interests at the time. But each member always held the Package material and music as a whole close to their hearts. Several members continued to pay homage to their Package roots in later bands by performing some of their favorite songs from the band. In late 2011 it was officially announced that Package was reuniting with three of the original four members of the band and adding the talents of Tim Richter on bass and Dave Packer on guitar. 2. Package is a ska band from France that had three releases: Tsunami (2004), En Live (2006) and Ultime Razzia (2007). 3. Package was a groove/death metal band from USA (Atlanta, Georgia) that released the album Wartorn (2003) 4. Package was a one-off collaboration of Dutch groups Unit Gloria, The Buffoons, Left Side and vocalist, Patricia Paay. The only Package single ("Were You There" b/w "Love On Another") was released in January 1970.
